Things to Know
There are no hidden costs at Trautwein's ATA. Below is a list of additional investments that you will come across on your journey to Black Belt.
There are testing fees to cover the expense of belt promotion which includes your new belt, a certificate that recognizes your rank nationally in the ATA, and registration expense.
Testing fees: Tiny Tigers $50, Kids and Adults, White - Purple $60, Blue and above $70
ALL TESTING FEES MUST BE PAID A WEEK PRIOR TO TESTING
At camo belt, approximately 6 months into program, you will need to purchase ATA approved sparring gear. The investment will include all the safety equipment necessary to ensure proper training.
Sparring gear: $199 Includes headgear, gloves, boots, chest protector, face shield, and mouthpiece. Boys will also need a cup and supporter, which needs to be purchased seperately.
ATA yearly membership fee: $35. Once per year you will have to re-register as a member of the American Taekwondo Association. The first year is included as part of your membership.
This membership will allow you access to ATA tournaments and be nationally recognized as an ATA member, which includes an ATA patch, membership card, and quarterly subscription to the ATA magazine.
Patches
ATA patch needs to be placed on the student’s right hand side of the uniform on the chest.
Victory patch needs to be placed on the student’s left hand side of the uniform on the chest. Please velcro this patch for easy removal considering washing and replacing with new patch.
All additional investments are optional, such as an extra uniform, t-shirts, gear bags, and other such merchandise
